This is a free Filipino and Tagalog worksheet generator for primary school children aged 6 to 12. Pick a grade band and a worksheet type, choose how many questions you want, and the page builds a printable pagsasanay sheet with an answer key — no account, no download, no watermark. The question banks are hand-written around the vocabulary, grammar and salawikain that Filipino children meet in Grades 1 to 6, whether they are studying in the Philippines or keeping the language alive abroad.
Each entry in the Worksheet Type dropdown draws from its own question bank, written separately for each of the three grade bands — so a Grade 1 sheet never pulls a Grade 6 word.
These are real items from the banks above — the same questions your child sees when they click Generate. Answers are shown in green; on a generated worksheet you can hide them with the Answer Key control.

Every comprehension worksheet pairs an original passage with five questions. Here is one of the Grade 3–4 passages:
“Si Dr. Jose Rizal ay isa sa mga pambansang bayani ng Pilipinas. Ipinanganak siya noong Hunyo 19, 1861 sa Calamba, Laguna. Isinulat niya ang dalawang kilalang nobela na ‘Noli Me Tangere’ at ‘El Filibusterismo’. Nais niyang magkaroon ng kalayaan ang mga Pilipino sa ilalim ng mga Espanyol. Binaril si Rizal sa Bagumbayan noong Disyembre 30, 1896.”
| Tanong | Sagot |
|---|---|
| Saan ipinanganak si Jose Rizal? | Calamba, Laguna |
| Kailan siya ipinanganak? | Hunyo 19, 1861 |
| Ano ang una niyang nobela? | Noli Me Tangere |
| Sino ang nananakop ng Pilipinas noon? | Mga Espanyol |
| Saan binaril si Rizal? | Bagumbayan |
The Grade control swaps the entire question bank, not just the wording. Choose by what your child reads comfortably rather than strictly by school year — this matters especially for children learning Filipino outside the Philippines, who often speak well above the level they read at.
Everyday nouns for family, home and school; the -um- and mag- verb affixes; simple two-way word sorts; short, widely known salawikain.
Places, occupations and character traits; doer-forming affixes such as mana- and mangga-; all four parts of speech; passages with two or three linked ideas.
Civics and current-affairs vocabulary; the ability-marking maka- affix; abstract synonym and antonym pairs; passages on Philippine history and the environment.
Filipino builds meaning through affixes rather than word order, so the same root produces a large family of words depending on which panlapi is attached. The root sulat gives sumulat (wrote), magsulat (to write), manunulat (writer), sulatin (to be written) and makasulat (able to write). A child who recognises the root inside a longer word can work out vocabulary they were never taught, which is why panlapi gets its own worksheet type here rather than being buried inside talasalitaan.
The affixes also carry grammatical information that English marks with separate words. Maka- signals ability, so makabasa means “able to read” rather than simply “read”. Mana- and mangga- turn an action into the person who habitually performs it, giving manunulat from sulat and manggagawa from gawa. Children who learn these as fixed vocabulary items rather than as patterns end up memorising hundreds of words where a handful of rules would do.
Salawikain are worth steady attention for a different reason. They are a closed set and they appear across reading comprehension, values education and composition, so the same effort pays off in three places. Many rely on rural or historical imagery that children today rarely encounter directly, which is why every proverb here carries both a Filipino explanation and an English gloss instead of being left to be memorised blind.
Yes. Every worksheet type and every grade band is free, with no account, no download and no watermark. Generate and print as many sheets as you like.
Both terms are used for the same worksheets here. Filipino is the standardised national language and is based on Tagalog, so the vocabulary and grammar practised on these sheets serve either label.
Yes. Click Generate again and the bank is reshuffled and redrawn. Each bank holds far more items than a single sheet uses, so you can print a fresh sheet daily for weeks without repeating questions.
Set the Answer Key control to Hide and the answers are left off the printout. Set it to Show when you want a marking copy for yourself.
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons the generator exists. Children raised abroad often speak Filipino confidently but read it far below their spoken level, so starting a grade band lower than their school year usually works better than matching their age.
Yes. The generator works in any modern browser on phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, and printing works from mobile browsers too.
