This is a free Bahasa Indonesia worksheet generator for primary school children in Kelas 1 to Kelas 6, roughly ages 6 to 12. Choose a class band and a worksheet type, set how many questions you want, and the page builds a printable lembar kerja with an answer key — gratis, no account, no download, no watermark. The question banks follow Indonesian spelling and usage rather than Malay, so the vocabulary, sentence patterns and peribahasa match what is actually taught in Indonesian SD classrooms.

The Seven Worksheet Types

Each entry in the Jenis Lembar dropdown draws from its own question bank, written separately for each of the three class bands — so a Kelas 1 sheet never pulls a Kelas 6 word.

Sample Questions from the Question Bank

These are real items from the banks above — the same questions your child sees when they click Buat. Answers are shown in green; on a generated worksheet you can hide them with the Kunci Jawaban control.

Kata Bantu Bilangan

Indonesian places a counting word between a number and a noun — tiga ekor kucing, not tiga kucing. Choosing the wrong one is a persistent source of lost marks.

Which Class Band Should You Choose?

The Kelas control swaps the entire question bank, not just the wording. Choose by what your child reads comfortably rather than strictly by school year — a confident run at Kelas 1–2 teaches more than a frustrating one at Kelas 3–4.

Kelas 1–2
Usia 6–8

Everyday nouns for keluarga, rumah and sekolah; the ber- and me- verb prefixes; the most common classifiers; short, familiar peribahasa.

Kelas 3–4
Usia 9–10

Places, occupations and character traits; the doer-forming pe- and peng- prefixes; less common classifiers; proverbs that need interpretation.

Kelas 5–6
Usia 11–12

Kenegaraan and current-affairs vocabulary; ke-…-an abstract nouns; abstract synonym and antonym pairs; literary peribahasa.

How to Use This Generator

  1. Pick a Kelas band that matches your child’s reading confidence.
  2. Pick a Jenis Lembar — one skill for focused practice, or Campuran for revision.
  3. Set the number of questions (8 to 30) and decide whether the Kunci Jawaban should be printed.
  4. Click Buat. Each click reshuffles the bank, so you can print a different sheet on the same topic every day without repeats.
  5. Click Cetak / PDF to print or save as PDF. The controls, banners and this explanatory text are all excluded from the printout — only the worksheet is printed.

Indonesian Is Not Malay — Why That Matters Here

Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu share a great deal of grammar, including nearly the same affix system, but they are not interchangeable in a classroom. Vocabulary diverges in everyday words: Indonesian uses mobil where Malay uses kereta, sepatu where Malay uses kasut, and senang where Malay prefers gembira. Spelling conventions differ too, and Indonesian has absorbed a distinct layer of Dutch and Javanese loanwords. A child practising for an Indonesian SD assessment on Malay material will meet words their teacher will mark wrong, which is why this generator keeps a separate question bank rather than sharing one.

The peribahasa banks diverge most of all. Some proverbs are common to both languages, but each has items the other does not use, and the wording often differs even where the meaning matches. Every proverb here is paired with an Indonesian explanation as well as an English gloss, so a child learns the meaning in the language they will be assessed in.

Why Imbuhan Deserves the Most Practice

Imbuhan is the engine of Indonesian vocabulary. One root generates a whole family: ajar gives mengajar (to teach), pengajar (teacher), pelajar (student), belajar (to learn) and pembelajaran (learning). A child who can find the root inside a long word can decode vocabulary they were never formally taught, which matters far more than memorising word lists.

The prefix me- changes shape depending on the first sound of the root — mem-, men-, meng-, meny- — and this is the single most common source of errors. Children write memcuci instead of mencuci, or keep a consonant that should drop, writing mentulis instead of menulis. These rules are learned by pattern recognition rather than by memorising a table, which is why short daily drills work better here than long weekend sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Indonesian worksheet generator free?

Yes. Every worksheet type and every class band is free, with no account, no download and no watermark. Generate and print as many sheets as you like.

Can I use the Malay worksheets instead?

Not for Indonesian schoolwork. The two languages share most of their grammar but differ in everyday vocabulary, spelling conventions and many proverbs, so a child would meet words their teacher marks as wrong. Use this page for Bahasa Indonesia and the Malay page for Bahasa Melayu.

Can I get a different worksheet on the same topic?

Yes. Click Buat again and the bank is reshuffled and redrawn. Each bank holds far more items than a single sheet uses, so you can print a fresh sheet daily for weeks without repeating questions.

Can I hide the answers before printing?

Set Kunci Jawaban to Sembunyikan and the answers are left off the printout. Set it to Tampilkan when you want a marking copy for yourself.

Which class band matches my child’s school year?

Kelas 1–2 suits ages 6 to 8, Kelas 3–4 suits ages 9 to 10, and Kelas 5–6 suits ages 11 to 12. For children learning Indonesian outside Indonesia, starting one band lower than their school year usually works better.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The generator works in any modern browser on phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, and printing works from mobile browsers too.
